Structure of the Honours Year

The exact make-up of the Honours year varies slightly between the various Schools that supervise Honours students, therefore you should refer to each School for detailed information. However the basic structure of the year consists of:

• A Research Project
• A Research Proposal, contributing 20% to the final mark
• A Thesis, contributing 80% to the final mark
• An Introductory Seminar
• A Final Seminar
• A mid-year Progress Report
• Various workshops and courses
